    VTIO Fund Raising Dinner

Victorian Tree Industry Organisation Announcement

Fundraising Event

Help the VTIO help the Sharpe family.

The sudden passing of our friend, mate and colleague Scott Sharpe has
touched us all.  While we as an industry are deeply saddened and shocked by
this news, our thoughts and feelings and support should be directed to Scotts'
children Sara, Alissa and Esther and wife Olivia, along with his extended
family.  It is a privilege for us to have known Scott and it is an honour to
arrange a fundraising event to support Scotts' family.

While there are many ways to offer support, we have decided to organise a
function whereby colleagues, friends and family can get together over a meal
and reflect on our good friend.  We expect people will participate in the
auctions and raffles over the course of the evening, enjoy some music, beer,
wine and champagne in the lovely Great Hall at The Centre, Ivanhoe.  It will
be a great opportunity to remember Scott, while also raising money to support
his family.  Tables of 10 will be available, so why not invite your friends and
family and contribute to a great cause with some fun and reflection.

Introducing 'IMORI' from Yale Cordage

This all new 12mm 24-strand tree climbing line from YALE CORDAGE is based on the same manufacturing process, construction, and success as the 11.7mm Blue Moon rope.

This rope gives climbers all the advantages and characteristics of a lightweight 11.7mm rope but gives the feel of a 13mm rope in the hand.

Be the first in Australia to own this wicked looking tree climbing rope.

We are offering a special pre-order deal at $5.50/metre (Imori will retail at $6.60/metre)

Yale Cordage has developed and incorporated a new type of taslanized (textured) fiber into the rope structure which provides bulk, and therefore an enhanced grip for better ergonomics. This fiber is blended with a 100% solution dyed filament polyester into the construction. This unique blend allows the fibers to be exposed on both the outer sheath and also on the inside of the sheath providing more friction to the inner core which helps to minimize excessive elongation while providing a superior unsurpassed grip for the climber.

  • Rope Diameter: 12mm
  • Tensile Strength: 2950kg
  • Weight Per Mtr: 105g
  • Construction: Double Braid
  • Approved Standard: EN 1891 Type A
