The ATRAES MicroFrog system is a custom-spliced variation on a popular SRT setup. Designed by Australian climbers, the system aims to maximise speed and efficiency whilst keeping weight and component parts to the bare minimum.

The MicroFrog system includes a lightweight Kong Futura hand ascender, a Petzl Croll chest ascender and a Petzl Pantin foot ascender. Connecting the ascenders is a custom-designed, hand-spliced ¼” Vectrus support link, which includes a built-in adjustable foot loop.

SRT systems like the MicroFrog are designed for expert users with training and experience in their use. More details of Single Rope Techniques and the MicroFrog are given in the VTIO SRT Guide, offered free for download from the Victorian Tree Industry Organisation
