The 6th generation of this well known Power Ascender.

PME, the current model of our 2-stroke powered ascender (aka Odyssé PME or Rope Climber) is the 6th generation of ascenders from ActSafe. Since the devfelopment of the first model in 1997 the use of ActSafes power ascenders has become a well-established access method for industrial use within telecom, power, building & construction, rope access etc.

SAR teams and firemen have also adopted the technique. Being fast and efficient is essential to them and they save lives by improved working methods.

Strong and durable
The ActSafe PME power ascender is powered by a strong and light weight 2-stroke engine. The perfomance when it comes to lifting capacity and range is unbeatable by any other system today availible. The lifting capacity is 300 kg and you can easily ascend 900 m on 1 litre of fuel. We know, it is rugged tool, but it is made for hard work, scorching heat or biting frost doesn&amprsquot matter. The ActSafe PME is a heavy duty tool made for professionals.

Advantages of the ActSafe PME Power Ascender
The short set-up time means the work can be done in a manner that is quick and less expensive than if performed with e.g. sky-lifts or scaffolding.

Ergonomics are improved for works that require repetitive climbing. Less climbing on ladders, ropes etc. will reduce wearing injuries on the staff.

It is a light weight alternative to other lifting equipment. A lifting capacity of 300 kg that can be extended to 1500 kg makes it ideal for lifting/dragging material and equipment.

Problem of intercommunication is drastically reduced, e.g. during poor weather conditions. The user is fully controlling the power ascender during ascent and descent.

Not applicable. The PME Power Ascender goes only in one direction -up. A setup including a descending device such as e.g. the Petzl ID is required in order to work in two directions.
